The Lost and Found Story
The Lost and Found Initiative started in 2019, when I noticed hundreds of clothes at my elementary school’s lost and found going to waste. Recalling my experiences volunteering at the Marian Soup Kitchen and the struggles I saw, I realized these clothes could be given to people in need. Collecting them, that year I donated 300 articles to God’s Pantry.
After the bulk of COVID-19 passed, I restarted the initiative in 2021 and reached out to all the schools across my district. Since then, the program has expanded to schools across Colorado Springs and to this day, we have donated over 5,000+ articles of clothing, helping hundreds of people in need.
